The Côte Citron Export Consortium was originally conceived in 1996 by a syndicate of expat members with the sole aim of making the Rochambeau’s house panaché widely available outside of club jurisdiction. Early members are believed to have included shipping conglomerate Maersk, a pre-scandal Salomon Brothers, and up to 50% of Daft Punk. Revitalised from the archives thirty years on, the cap is now a recognised symbol of panaché appreciation around the world.
